Stephen D. Seon B.A., LL.B

Stephen D. Seon is a senior partner in the Corporate, Commercial Law Departments. His areas of expertise include all aspects of corporate, commercial and real estate law including mergers and acquisitions, restructings, financing, leasing, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate and businesses. Steve also includes estate planning as a necessary adjunct to his business law practice. He attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) in 1969 and attended Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 1972. He was admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Ontario in 1974. Steve is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Law Society of Upper Canada.

Eli Gutstadt B.A., LL.B

Eli is the senior partner in the Real Estate Department. Eli's areas of expertise include general commercial matters, with the emphasis on real estate acquisition, development and finance. Eli attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1968. He then attended Osgoode Hall School at York University and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 1972. He was admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Ontario in 1974. Eli is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Robert Lash B.A. LL.L, LL.B

Bob is our managing partner and also the senior partner in our Commercial Leasing Department. His areas of expertise are commercial leasing and lease negotiation, commercial lease litigation, mortgage remedies and shareholder dispute resolution. Bob attended McGill University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. He then attended the University of Ottawa Law School and obtained a Licentiate in Jurisprudence (LL.L), the Quebec French language civil law degree. He then attended Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 1974. He was admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Ontario in 1976. Bob is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

 Stanley Goodman Q.C.

Stanley had his own firm for a number of years and has been an associate with Seon, Gutstadt, Lash L.L.P for more than 20 years. Stan is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School. He was admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Ontario in 1954. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1964. His areas of expertise are commercial and residential real estate development, commercial leasing, corporate/commercial law and civil litigation. Stan is a 50 year member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Benjamin Salsberg B.A., LL.B

Except for a brief interlude as a sole practitioner, Ben has been associated with Seon, Gutstadt, Lash L.L.P  throughout his career. Ben acts as litigation counsel to the firm and heads our Litigation Department. His practice has been dedicated solely to litigation since his call to the Ontario Bar. He has a very active practice representing clients before various levels of courts and tribunals in respect of a host of diverse and complex issues and has a wide experience in both civil and criminal matters. Ben attended the University of Toronto and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 1981. He was admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Ontario in 1983. Ben is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Faye Dawson B.A., LL.B

Faye practiced with her own firm for a number of years and has been an associate of Seon, Gutstadt, Lash since 1991. Her areas of expertise are municipal and public utility law, corporate/commercial real estate, wills and estates. She is counsel to Toronto Hydro, the public utility which provides electrical service to the greater Toronto area. Faye attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1971. She attended Queen's University Law School and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 1975. was admitted to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Ontario in 1977. Faye is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
